Nidhal meaning thereby Ni=not, dhal means removable indicating thereby non-removable, non-vanisiable, permanent, everlasting. Another meaning is swatting of the forehead. The swatting uses do to thinking and physical work. Hens the name of Nidhal is indicated of the people (villagers) of this village are using their intelligence and physical input for self-help and development as well as community of village Nidhal.

During British era the village whole hearted devoted through military force/defense for in the first as well as Second World War. At the same time during the shortage of greence highest proportion of the levy was connected to supplementary the food supply needy as a result the village was honoure by providing Radio set as the aid of entertainment and in formation.

After independence the village was suffering do to autocratic leadership and people had no voice against leadership. This was big problem for the development of village. However in the freedom movement the leader known as Patil was attack by freedom fighter and his own leg was cut by Patri Sarkar. The younger generation felt this type of leadership, which was problematic. Therefore a systematic study was undertaken by C.N.Dalavi under the guidance of Dr.T.S.Khuspe on the leadership and socioeconomic status of the village. The study proved that there was a bad leadership hampering the socioeconomic achievements in a desire way.

The study also indicated the ways of socio economy development with changed leadership-fillership for enhancing the overall development of villages. According to these findings the awareness compain was open through servants society from the Mumbai and villagers were motivated to meet the requirement of high school building for education of students of village. Padmashree Bhaurao Patil's Rayat Shikshan Sanstha gave sanction to establish high school up to 10th standard which was started in Hanuman temple and sun old building hired for purchases.

However a farmer donated 10 ecors land for high school and construction cost of building with 17 classrooms having playground worth 12.50 lacks through peoples donating another achievement which was meaned by then village level worker Mr. V.R.Khamkar by implementing all govt. scheme in village As a result the village declare as a Adarsh Village. Visited by the Divisional Commissioner, Pune, subsquanbly Mahadev Temple was reguinated worth Rs.6 lacks donated by villagers and named as NILKANTHESWAR MAHADEV TEMPLE. Wheres in 2 lacks were given by local M. L. A. Adv. Gudage.

A mean watershed development program of 2-- hectors was implemented by chaitanya Charitable Trust with the help of Indo-German watershed development program.
