DRINKING WATER CARE:
Vindhan wells were disinfected and TCL powder is mixed into it from time to time .
In order to purify the drinking water , 34.50% chlorine containing 500 TCL powder is mixed in the water supply tank on every morning and evening. Thus 1 Kg TCL powder is used every day. The TCL powder is stored in nearby water pump shed of about 2 quintal in quantity.

The use of Mediclore drops is also made in drinking water at home level. Under any circumstances, the use of hand in taking of water is avoided. Instead water spoons are used for serving the water. This handling of water is closely supervised by workers.
For connection of water taps , privately Rs. 360 and Rs. 750 for community water taps are annually charged as water charges. The demand of charges was Rs 1.72 lakh during 2000-2001. Prior to campaign Rs. 51 thousand was balance to be recovered .However during campaign period the recovery was Rs. 1.23 lakh which was centpercent.

ANTI EPIDEMIC MEASURES :
For last five years , there is no epidemic in Nidhal. This is achieved by increasing awareness about personal hygiene, environmental hygiene, safe water supply and proper treatment to sullage ( waste water from kitchen & bathroom).People from Nidhal are practicing these methods.
As all twenty drinking water sources are safe and clean, Red card is not issued by health department. Gram Panchayat is getting green card for this work.
Waste water is used for agriculture purpose. Soakage pits are used at many places. Byre’s are kept clean so that there are no breeding places for flies, mosquitoes or other insects.
